    Hi,

    I just got a new Xbox (my old one is not working right), and was hoping there was a way for me to access it from my PC, or new (modded) Xbox, so that I can transfer all the save games and stuff on it...

    Anyone know if thats possible, without having to take the whole thing apart, and installing the HDD in the PC?

    Thanks a bunch

    Unfortunately, you'd have to take it out.

    What's wrong with your old xbox?

    you could simply jus softmod it then ftp them over and then uninstall the softmod.

    Just Wondering...please correct me if I'm wrong here but if he softmods the drive so he can have FTP capabilities, will existing saves still be there after the mod has been completed?

    @haimon
    Did you at least try to search the site before you made that post

    I typed "What is a Softmod" in Google and this came up:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Softmod

    Search aD, for specifics, there is a lot of good info and tutorials...

    @Uniique
    I never heard the term before, which of course made it quite hard to search for the use :)
    I did search for issues similar to what I asked, and found nothing...

    softmodding lets you play burnt games, emulators, play dvd's with the kit and more without a modchip

    Yeah I know...Typing "what is a softmod?" can be quite confusing. LOL.

    Look all jokes aside did you at least read the link I gave you? It's speaks specifically about "softmods" for the xbox. Even goes as far as to name the games that can be used to access the Linux games save and more.

    If you've read, now you've got a little background on what it is. SEARCH aD till your heart's content and if you can't find the answer, by all means, POST.

    Only problem with that is it seems to require Action replay - I dont have that, and cant get it here - I live in Israel, and getting games is hard enough :)
    Anyway, I have decided to enjoy replaying the games I want, so I will live :)

    Thanks for the assist, in any case :)

    Action Replay is not a softmod but...anyway, you're welcome.
