AceKard 2i - help- instructions(guide)

Hi,

Just bought an AceKard 2i for my DSI. I've put the required "a2k_setup" software on the microSD. ok...ive got 2 questions that i need help with and i shall be good_2_go!


Q 1.. Do i put the .nds game files into the "Game" folder thats in the root of the SD card? Can i add these files in folders? (example .nds game file + .jpg file(game cover) in 1 folder, will that work?

Q 2.. Skins! Do i put skins that ive downloaded into the root/__ak2/ui folder? I think thats right, thats where a couple of other skins were.

yes make a folder on the root (i called mine nds roms) and place your roms in there. i dont think its necessary to do that but its much neater when you're working with it. also you dont need to put the jpg file in there. for the skins you're right that's where they go. after you put them in there start your ds and in the menu press start then go to system options ans you will be able to change the theme there. i hope that helps

 

My acekard 2ki will not soft-reset. I enabled it in the patch settings but it simply will not soft-reset. I press L+R+A+B+Down and nothing ever happens. What am I doing wrong?

 

I've also used the "L+R+A+B+Down" and nothing ever happens, but by pressing the power button once during a game or any other feature takes you back to the main menu. It seems just as easy doing it that way than worrying about patch settings. Its not really a solution but the easiest problem solver.

 

Hi everyone I am quite new on this site and have just bought a dsi and a ak2i for my daughter. Downloaded the AceKard2v4.16 into it with a game and a nds movie. Game works fine but not the movie. Can anyone help me please!

I put moonshell 2.10 beta on my Aki2

- use batchdpg - to convert AVIs to dpg format
- find AKAIO 1.4.1 firmware for Ak2i, works better with moonshell
- you also need to find the ak2i loader for AKAIO

I've got moonshell v2 and AceKard_2_v4.16_menu in the root menu and seek to work okayish but what is this AKAIO 1.4.1 and ak2i loader and where can find them if they work better.

And I my soft reset does not seem to work neither.

Hi there.

I too am having a few problems and wonder if anyone can please help!

I have received my Ak2i card and pasted on the AK2i set up, all appears fine, but the games will not load. It just says " loading" and never gets there! Music files work ok, movies in .dpg do not. What am I doing wrong?

Hay I just bought one of these cards but I'm a little stuck and think it might be broke, but I would just like to check...

Step one: extracted and installed AceKard 2i firmware on Transcend 1GB MicroSD using AK2iSetup.zip.

Step two:Insert MicroSD into AK2i, plug into DSlite and Start up.

Ok so here is were it all buggers up, It gose into and Loading screen with "Loading" in blue letters and just seems to stay there I've done loads of different things formated the card everything it just hangs there.
