Acer aspire 7520 problem pls help!!!! head battered lol

    hi, im trying to find out where the bios chip is located in a acer aspire 7520, after a bad bios update from insyde to pheonix due to acers crappy site!
    iv got a new preflashed chip ready to go but cannot find it? iv got the manuals but it dont say any help woiuld be very veery much apreciated! thanks

    do you have the tech manual or user manual as it sounds like you have the user manual?

    yeah the user manual it shows u the top and bottom of motherboard but no bios chip??

    user manuals usually don't show the bios chips just the cmos battery. what bios as in award, phoenix or what? is the new bios chip's legs straight or curls under the chip body itself?

    hi, the bios is insydeh2o, the new chip i have is tiny but the legs apperar to be, 4 on eachside and curled but not under the chip, they are just like little legs holding it up lol.

    insydeh2o is the name on the chip not the display name on the screen that award would showup on. look on the motherboard topside to see if can see a similar chip tho it might be in a socket(hopefully) & not soldered(not good) to the motherboard itself.

    nah i found that it is to the left side of the touchpad when the keyboard is removed, there is 3 chips diagonal the middle is the bios, it had a little marking on, im gonna try swapping that one and c if it works lol. hopefully it will, :(
