I just bought my son the action replay. We downloaded the program and the driver is the current one. When we go to do the quick update it always freezes up when it gets to animal crossing. We have tried numerous things like restarting the ds and the pc. But always ends with the same result. Any help would be appreciated.

    Try resetting the AR itself.

The procedure I have see posted before:
1/ With the console powered off, hold A+B.
2/ Power up the console while still holding A+B.
3/ As soon as the Nintendo screen is displayed, before our screen stating this product is not endorsed by Nintendo, press and hold Start and Select while keeping hold of A+B.
4/ Continue to hold these buttons until the Main Action Replay screen is displayed, then release. Your product is reset, and will accept codes once more.

You might also try a different way to update. I'm not on the correct PC right at the moment so I will have to get back to you on that.

    Try resetting first.

Pass away, I didn't come up with it.

On updating: If you click the DS lloking like icon in the upper right of the Action Replay Code Manager screen it wants to do the Quick Update. If this is being a problem, try clicking on the plus sign next to CodeJunkiesUS and individually dragging and dropping the games you want to update over to the AR. You can delete stuff off the AR too. I mean who really wants to carry around the cheat codes for Deal or No Deal and Nintendogs anyway?
