IF THIS IS NOT IN THE RIGHT SPOT PLEASE MOVE me<-----NEWBIE hey im new here and i dont even know if this is the right section to post. i just recently downloaded an updated navigation dvd for both my lexus and acura. ive been searching for 2 days and i got so close to finding you can take dv9 to dv5 which i was trying to do but i guess does not work with a navigation dvd. now my question is, is there a way to put these 7.76GB dv9 onto a dv5 or if anyone knows how to burn a navigation dvd for acura or lexus that would be awsome
you can always burn them on a DL disk(dvd-9) (if you burner is capable of that) instead of compressing them for a SL disk. if your burner is capable then i would suggest using verbatims DL disks.
Even if burned to a dvd-9, disc may not work as BMW has a chip ( perhaps Acura and Lexus too ), like games do ( built into the hub of the disc) that inhibits a non genuine disc from being player even if the info is correct. But hey worth a try.
