Nevermind the BETA- go back to the stable ones unless you're using BETA for developing purposes (it has loads of bugs) and not all extensions work on BETA since thre's not much point.

As for the extensions- my favs are:
    [bold]Fasterfox
Video Downloader [/bold](to download vids from YouTube .etc)
[bold]Adblock [/bold](block all those unwanted images)
    [bold]Adblock Filterset.G Updater[/bold] (preset filter for Adblock)
    [bold]StumbleUpon [/bold](worth a download if you're always bored)
[bold]IE Tab[/bold] (can switch to IE at the click of a button, for certain sites)
[bold]Foxmarks [/bold](use your bookmarks anywhere in the world, also for back-up)
[bold]Session Manager [/bold](save your tabs even after you close FF or restart PC)
[bold]GreaseMonkey[/bold] (I use it to watch the vids on Launch! Yahoo)
    [bold]DownThemAll[/bold] (download manager)

Despite the amount I have, it's not as much as I used to have AND my firefox browsing experience is still not ruined.

All-in-One Gestures is nice for mouse gestures.

There is an IDN domain checker that lets you know if you are visiting a possibly spoofed site. I forget the name.

I would avoid Fasterfox, since it basically downloads an entire website *in case* you decide to click on a link. You will get about as good results from a pipelining tweak mentioned in another thread.
