I Have got the Drives already And I have The Dvd Burner that I'm Removing ( oem Dell? ) sata Power and Drive Cable so I can replace That one with one of the new Drives . I also a Retail Liteon that comes with the Sata Drive Cable But no power cable ! So I according to dell I need another Sata Power cable for the Second DVD burner I plan to install . Can someone recommend a good place to get one and if you have the same model a specific Part # and price would be nice ! Thank y'all in advance and good day !!!!
If I read your post correctly you need SATA power. If you have a legacy 4 pin drive power cable you can buy an adapter for $3-5 USD and your running. It's a generic cable. No part number.
dailun- Thank you That's What I'm not sure about ? It's a Fairly recent computer all the drive connections are sata both Hdd and Odd so I just assumed That it would be a Sata connector on both ends rather then 4 pin molex to sata but perhaps you are correct ? I'll have to check my computers innards when I get a chance? again thanks & I'll post an update when I get it completley sorted out !!!
