ADMIN PASSWORD

    my dell computer is really messed up. It doesnt even get to the desktop. So im trying anything to fix it. I am trying to reinstall windows on it but it keeps saying i need a admin password?? i have no clue what it is because i never entered a password on this computer. does anybody no how i could find this out or aothing way to fix this computer.

    press enter when admin password comes up if you hadn't already

    it just says incorrect password

    Ok, I am assuming that you have xp.Boot to safemode.Most computers it's F8 on your keyboard.Turn off the computer then turn it on and keep tapping until you see the safemode screen.Now you can log back into the computer and go to the control pannel and remove the password off your account.Reboot the computer and go back to your account.Or try calling Dell for tech support.

    in safe mode it will still ask you for admin password......

    if it is a newer dell system just hold down ctrl and repeatly hit f11 lots of times this will restore your system to factory setup

    try 'admin' or 'administrator'

    that is a common default password for admin accounts.

    or try you rnormal windows password maybe.

    if u are using XP refer to my last post!!!! it tells you right there how to change the password with the security hole in XP....refer to my last post...
