Hey I've been capturing video from a DV Cam, and all the dv files play perfectly fine in all other programs. However when i import the files into Premier, they get all pixellated-like and its pretty much almost impossible to watch and therefore to edit... however the files play fine in everything else... even the dv avi i capture using premier itself works fine, but when imported into the project, the same problem occurs... I've tried reinstalling premier twice, deleting all the files on my pc referring to premier, tried it on another pc, still the same problem.

I dunno if maybe its my camera (which i doubt)[its a Panasonic NV-DX100]... oh and also premier works fine with all other video types...

HELP PLEASE!!! i'm really desperate at this point!

Maybe you just need to install a Better DV Codec?? If you just have the default microsoft DV Codec installed then you would be well served to install a Better one .....

There are a Few Freeware DV Codecs out there that you might try like "Canopus DV Codec" or the "Panasonic DV Codec" of you might be able to find a free version of the "MainConcept DV Codec"...

If you do a google search for these codecs you should Find a Link to were you can download one of them....

    Cheers
