I figured I'd give Adobe Premiere Pro and Encore a shot (full featured 30-day trials rule). I can't seem to import Xvid AVIs directly into Encore, so I figured I would put them into Premiere Pro and then save them as Microsoft DV AVI. Problem is, I can't import them into Premiere Pro, because it says the the files have an unsupported audio rate. Second problem is that I stripped the audio into .WAV using Virtual Dub.

Can anybody offer any tips to fix my Problems with Premiere Pro, or point me in the right direction to getting my XVID encoded files into Encore directly?

Ok, simple work around. I downloaded TMPGEnc and transcoded it into MPEG-2 (.m2v and .wav). Both imported into Adobe Encore just fine.
