Ok... here's my problem and it's driving me to go grey. I have the same Adobe Premiere Pro program, the same files in the same file locations, I have Divx and Xvid installed and running. I go and open a project I was working on which was made in 2006 it worked great then and I was almost done and finally got around to going back to it. Today I go and play the file, I have all audio work fine but the video is black, the source video is encoded in Xvid. This as ALWAYS worked before, and as far as I remember i've made no changes for it not to be working. Please... does anyone have ANY advice at all! Thanks
Download GSpot, it will tell you if your codecs are properly installed. If not, einstall the codecs . Try a different player, like VLC for example.
