Ads appear after I exit Google Chrome

    I find that an unsolicited web page (advertisement) appears as soon as I exit Google Chrome. How can I remove it? I have uninstalled and re-installed Chrome but the ads continue to appear. Note that it is not the same ad/website which appears each time.

    something like ad blocker or a pop up blocker should stop it.
    also runs scans of your pc for spyware,virus,malware.
    delete all history and cookies (run ccleaner it will remove all history and cookies).

    do you mean to say that these ads appear on your desktop after exiting your browser?

    Yes. When I click on the X to exit the ad appears and I have to close it.

    have you run any virus and spyware/malware scans? have you tried adblock plus? finally,what are you running for antivirus,spyware/malware programs?
