adsl wireless router and aol

    my mate has just bought a d link wireless router and for the life of me i cant get his upstairs computer to go on the internet.i heard that you have to buy one of aol s routers in order to get this to work.anybody got any ideas???
    p.s we are using a usb wireless conector

    you have to configure it to aol via explorer and make sure your sign on has no numbers in it for some reason.ive got a belkin with a usb adapter and it works fine.and make sure your firewall allows the ip address of router.
