I have been noticing the last few weeks. The system is powered up 24/7 but when I do a reboot I notice near the post screen that is says Updating dmi pool sucsesfull. Does not happen all the time but I don't think it should be doing it at all. I have made no hardware of software changes and I can not find anything that does not work. The system makes no weird noises and runs as usual. There are no problems looking in device manager. I thought it might be the cmos battery getting weak but the fact that it's on all the time the motherboard should be supplying power to what ever the cmos battery powers. I did a search for dmi problems but the resultss always come back with people where their system locks up on a dmi fail condition so Im sort of stuck. The only changes have been normal anti spy ware and anti spam ware updates. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks BK
