    im thinking on buying this com of my friend hes selling it for a hundred a fithty pound so very cheap but is it worth me buying as i want to play the latest games and the games in the future packard bell i-media 5057, 80 Gb
    hard drive, Intel celeron 2.2 Ghz , dvd player, cd/rw,
    256 mb ram, modem v.92 56kpbs, 4 x usb (2 front+2
    back), soundblast, video on board (sis650)

    find out if he has an agp slot on the mother board so can put a better video card than what is built in

    he dosent know if there an agp card on motherboard so does that mean i cant buy a new graphics card for it as i have a graphics card from my other com i was gonna put in it its an herculles 3d prophet 11 mx 128 mbs

    he just told me his graphics says on board graphics what ever that means

    onboard video means the videocard is part of the motherboard & can't be upgraded. check on the motherboard for a brown slot about the same length as the white pci slots but set back a bit further from the case back & close to the cpu. look on the motherboard for some writing as to make & model of the motherboard. look at the user guide or motherboard manual to see if an agp slot is available.

    just because there is no agp slot dont worry they do other pci video cards

    most , but over a gig of processor would be more desirable,from what i've read after ya bought the pc,a video card ,an upgrade the processor you could of bought a better 1,check the prices at www.tigerdirect.com or a dell dude!

    me personally i wouldnt but if ya dont have 1 an want 1 for cheap there ya go ,but i beleive most new games need 750mb of processor.but dont quote me.

    according to the info from the link it has an agp slot, so should be able to use that hercules videocard if it is agp. also upgrade ram to 512meg

    i think the herculles is agp if not ile buy new graphics card soory to be a pest but i have a game hear its pro evolution soccer4 and the recomended system requirements are
    intel pentium 4 1 .5 ghz
    graphics video card direct x 8 geforce 4 with v ram 64 mbs or more
    main memory 256 or more
    ard disk 3 gbs
    sound card 100%direct x complient

    so could i play this game with this com even though this com isnt a intel pentium 4 and i take it ide have to buy that graphics card

    the computer is a p4 but celeron version so can play the game & your hercules should work, how great i don't know.

    will this matter the hercles takes sdram and the com im buying is using ddr ram

    the hercules has it's own ram which is totaly seperate from the motherboard ram so doesn't really matter.
