To paraphrase a quote from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, this debate is about the world, the universe, and everything else. The universe, as far as we know, is endless and goes on for infinity since it is constantly expanding itself. So what is beyond that? If something expands, it must expand into something, right? If something expands into something, that something it's expanding into must have limits, right? What is that something anyway? What am I going on about? Let me simplify. The universe is expanding, so what is beyond the universe? How did the universe begin? If God (Or a God, diety, whatever your religion follows...) created Earth, did he, she, it, or they also create the universe? Did they create whatever was beyond that? Philosophical debate, ahh, haven't had a good one of these for a while. Debate away folks.
maybe... whoever created the universe (if any did, which i doubt) lives beyond our universe in another "ultraverse" which was created by an even bigger /better being. or parhaps its just a kid with a universe lego kit perhaps
They are called "Multiverse's".... Here is a shot of our young univers, taken by a special microwave camera that took shots over a year or so of the entire sky... [image]http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/5171/universe2qw.gif[/image] I love space and what is out there, how and why always comes to my mind... It is strange to think what is after the other : ? I read in a science mag that our laws of physics might be totaly differant in the crossing between universe's, its a whole differant thing!! Heh just shows how small we all are and the imposible might just be possible!
The universe as you believe it does not actually exist. We are actually only a computer generated hologram used for the purpose of entertainment/research, ala holodecks from Star Trek. As time travel (backwards) is not possible past the point where the time machine is developed, then to access earlier times humans would need to develop sophisticated simulations to let users experience these times. Going by the science of mathematics and statistics it is probable that society has already advanced to the level of creating these programs and statistically we are in one at the present. Lets face it if there was a god in this reality would he have created G.W. Bush or A. Blair? I think not, obviously they are just the product of some twisted f**ks sick imagination!! But don't worry about it since we don't exist.
i there exists an infinite number of parallel universes, where one exist for every single possibility; the number constantly grows as universes split while time goes on. my theories on time travel are very similar to those of the movie The Langoliers.
