    I am having a problem burning the ISO. I can back-up games(even from bittorent) on any type of DVD with Nero and they run without a stich. But I can't get the AID 3(i even tired EVOX BOOT DISC & SLAYRES 2.6) to boot. Nor does it even get acknowleged. The drive always says empty.
    I tried...

    * imation cd-rw
    * memorex cd-rw
    * TDK DVD-RW
    * Verbatim DVD-R
    * slow speeds
    * fast speed
    * NERO 5
    * NERO 7
    * RECORD NOW MAX
    * ISO RECORDER
    * I TRIED EXTRACTING ISO THEN REBUILD USING CRAXTION
    * I TRIED IN A PHILLIPS, THOMPSON, SAMSUNG (I HAVE ALL)
    * EVEN IN MY PC'S SONY DDU1612(CONNECTED PER TUTORIAL TO XBOX) THE GAME RAN FINE, BUT SLAYERS
    * I HAVE TWO BURNERS NEC 3500 F/W 1.05 & PHILLIPS DVR105. THEY BOTH DON'T WORK.

    ANYONE KNOW WHY I CAN'T GET IT TO LOAD. Again all game back-ups run fine.

    Use IMGBurn and see if that works...if all else fails you can just ftp AID to the xbox like a game a run it from there....

    Thx theridge, but that's the whole problem. It's a blank non-xbox formatted HD. I am trying to transfer all my game saves and back-ups. So I was trying to use the AID or Slayers format utility. Can I prepare the drive using my PC then use xboxplorer to get a dashboard on it with FTP?

    i am guessing that you have the eeprom.bin that goes with that motherboard on your xbox, if so, what i have done and keep doing, is use xbhdm 1.9 and run it, you boot up your pc with hdd from xbox in it , have it boot from cdrom, then create a xbox hard drive, from unlocking to formatting, making partitions then locking again, one dvd to use, takes about ten minutes in all! hope this is what your looking for, if i am totally off topic, i appologize!

    no thx that's great. I understand everything when it comes to modding. I just try to get the best solution for me. So if you explain something, don't worry I'll be able to follow it.

    Yeah I have the key. So basically this will work with any size drive, brand new to be exact. So I can create the partions and format, and place all the C: files I need in order for it to be an xbox drive.

    @ theridges

    Duh, I didn’t get it at first. Transfer AID (safe to assume in extracted form) and run the default.xbe. Okay I can work with that. Now does AID have the upgrade HD option, or format another drive option. That’s all I really need to get started. I hope.

    thx for all of your help. Man I finally got the AID 3.0 Disc to work. Instead of using Nero Smart Start, I opened nero burning-rom. Ofcourse thru all the explainations and searching for tutorials you recommended. I set up the correct settings, no multi-session, etc.. However I had to connect my Sony DDu1612 in order for it to launch. But it launched. Damn I am finally done. PHEW!
