I been going back through all my mp3's and updating the tag info and just noticed that 4 of my albums (out of 100's) actually show the Album Art in the folder icon when viewing folders as thumbnails in XP. All of my mp3's have Album Art tagged into them so why don't they all show up this way??? I'm guessing for those 4 I must have used a wierd program or something. Does anyone know how to get the thumbnails view to display Album Art??? I use MP3tag v2.35 for all my tagging. My mp3's are on my server running 2003 if that makes any difference (I view everything through my XP machine though). I even deleted the images and tags of the 4 albums but the pictures still show up in thumbnail view. I don't have any image folders or images of the albums on my server or XP machine so are they stored in a temp file somewhere or what?

So I think I figured it out after browsing Hydrogen Audios forum. Looks like for those particular albums the album art was in the folder as it's own file but wouldn't show up unless I unchecked "show operating files" in the advanced folder view under tools. So i guess i did use some weird tagging app for those few albums.

Mp3tag can extract album art from the audio file but not completely in a batch form. Anyways it's close enough. To do that, go to each folder where you have each of your albums stored. Then when you have that paticular folder scanned, pick one song out and right click it. Highlight tags. It will bring up another window where it shows the tag info and the album art on the right side. You will see a floppy icon. Click that and save it in that folder.

    Thanks for the reply, BlinkN

Yeah I was trying to avoid that since it will take so long but thats what I'll do until anyone lets me know of a program that can do it in batch form

I think I found something for you. I used a program called The GodFather and tested it out. This porogram does batch jobs of renaming files including exporting images and lyrics from audio files.

PM me and I'll walk you through on how I did it.

It's funny, people mention it before and I didn't even bother trying the program out.

I think I'll just stick with MP3tag Blink. I've been needing to clean up my tags anyway and going through them album by album is the best way for accuracy.

    Peace
