ok so i got alcohol 120% and my friend gave me a dvd with a .BIN file on it. (a movie) i want to: a) Be able to watch it on the computer and b) Be able to make it into a file that can be burnt onto a dvd for watching using a dvd player. please help!
bin/cue files on dvd? Its an image file. You need to mount it to image drive or burn it to dvd/cd using burn image mode (data mode will not work) So first you should copy that file to your hdd and use it from there. You can burn or mount it using Alcohol 120%
Because of that, you need to burn it or mount it... 1. Copy it to your hard drive 2. Mount it to virtual drive using Alcohol 3. If it is working, you can burn it to dvd using Alcohol.
ohhhhh ok thanks alot... but when i mount it nothing happens any suggestions? maybe something wrong with the settings etc?
All i do is the same with the .bin as i do with the .cue,Does it not work for you? I am using alcohol version 1.9.5
Here is one way: http://torrent1.youceff.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=56&Itemid=68 (one virtual drive is all you need) and here are more ways: (sorry about the language...)
dougal58, edit your sig to conform to forum specs of 50k ASAP. 2. An image-only signature should be less than 50kb in size, and be at most 500 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall.
again thanks but... say if i have this: (hope that pic appeared) how would i be able to play that as a movie or make it into a format to be watchable on a DVD player?
dammit... ok how bout this one: <a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q44/dakool3st/alcohol120.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a>

from there i tried burning it onto a DVD (using image burning wizard) but it just burnt it into a .bin file...
1. You can edit your post using this: (top right in your posts) 2. That first one was good, just edit those IMG tags to small img tags and it will work. 3. Try to burn it using "Image Burning Wizard". Then select the image and select your cd/dvd burner and do not use max speed. EDIT: guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/353503
like i said before... "i tried burning it onto a DVD but it burnt it into a .bin file with the original name of the file" ill try that guide...it looks good.
