Alcohol 120 write speed too BIG

I'm trying to burn a game with Alcohol 120% at 4x write speed - profile
Safedisc 2/3. But whenever i choose 4x write speed Alcohol burns at MAX
write speed. I checked all the settings, limited max write speed for safedisc 2/3 to 4x but it still doesn't work. I have Waitec Storm 52/2
(I think it supports 4x writing) and use Ritek cds.

Any of you had similar problems?

 

i dont use alcohol but ive had nero write at different speeds than i set it to.thats usually slower tho,not faster.

do your dvd-rs AND writer write faster than 4X?

if they dont it may be writing at 4X but calling it Max because 4X is its max.

 

I'm not burning a DVD it's a CD so it should be no problem to write at 4x.
