Yep. The only manufacturer that I have heard of to be mislabeled is Ritek (unfortunately)...
I had some TDK Reflex Ultra's that were rated at 24x, the file system didnt even work at that speed. They were 16x (although they were crap, even at that speed)

Ritek is a very good company and he must have gotten a bad batch. I've used those TDKs myself and they were very good.

But, I've seen mislabeled media with a lot of manufacturers and unknown brands, like E-ProFormance and eGital prodiscs and the such. They might even be B-Grade. But the A-grade Ritek from brands like TDK, Ritek's own Ritek and Ridata, Maxell and the like are top media.

Aye... perhaps... this batch of CDs is like a couple years old... so it might have been a part of the B-grade media. Heck it might just be this specific stack.... i hope so... still have 400 of this batch left at home ;-)

Oh yeah, Ritek is definately good. Excellent, in fact. I meant it was just that batch Reflex Ultras that are pretty poor now. I have used many of them in the past, and they have been excellent.
