Product Description

The EX1100 is an updated EX1000 with the addition of a USB connector and PVR facilities. Externally it’s identical to the EX1000 with the USB connector on the side.

The scan performs similar to the EX1000 with you having to set the SR for your area, the auto sort now generates 12 favorites groups named to match the VM favorites’ and for me now catches most current channels into their correct groups. Within the groups the channels get stored in alphabetical order. The editing favorites on the box is now a little fiddly with having 12 favorites and only 4 color buttons to allocate the groups, you need to press the FAV button to scroll through 3 groups of 4. I’m told a PC based editor (like Voxer) will be available soon, they are also working on proper network scanning like the Kryptview and D-Box.

In the main menu, going into the REC section gives you access to the PVR Setting, here you can switch the time-slip on and set the size of the time-slip, unlike previous boxes, the EX1100 permaneN*ly time-slips when a recording device is connected and the facility is switched on, be aware though that this does slow down the channel change considerably as it has to stop recording before it changes channel. The REC section also has the USB information, format and access to the library. The EX1100 records in standard .mpg format to play back on any PC, this has the advantage of you being able to play back .mpg files from your PC on the EX1100, it also plays back MP3’s

The Firmware is FTA (Free to Air) by default on our receivers.

If you get the Audio Voice over, pressing Green will allow you to select the alternate audio channel.

In the Tools section of the menu is the upgrade by USB application. From here you can upgrade the firmware- of course FTA still, load channel lists and also dump channel lists and dump K*yfiles to USB.

PUTTING FIRMWARE ON YOUR BOX
Put the firmware on a USB stick and put it in the receiver Press -> Menu-tools-Upgrade by USB, highlight the firmware file and press RED to flash and OK to confirm 10 seconds later its done.

The date on the original review is 7th September, I know personally the author, I released it on 3 forums only and it was not released elsewhere. It is word for word with only a paragraph about accessing the decoder removed. I've also noticed a couple of sites are using the same review claiming it was written just for them.

do i say anything about my work ?? no i dont, and i can defo say it did not come from any other forum 100%. the read out actually came from a supplier. Who actually have it on their website. Before you put it on the other forum.

and just to let you know there are also many testers for all boxes not just 1 so just because your mate is one of many that review could be done by any tester.

As a beta tester of this box, I’ve been able to have a good play with a prototype and helped get rid of most of the bugs (In Pure NTL area’s at least).

lincsat You wouldn't be the first or the last to accuse our friend e45 for coping tuts from elsewhere without naming the original poster, formally known as Trojan from cc also a number of names here it seems to be the way forward for the likes of him, not to worry, were all used to this and know all his posts are second hand .

It depends on what firmware you have installed. If you bought from me, then that works, if you bought elsewhere, you will likely have to flash new firmware first.
