I could be wrong, but I think that you have a virus called Daonol. It is a trojan virus that is very good at hiding.

Download this guy! He is free for a trial period I think. http://www.superantispyware.com/

After download open him and make sure that he is up to date.

Reboot your machine into safe mode. You may do this by pressing F8 key repeatedly while windows is starting. You will be given an options screen on how to proceed. Select Safe Mode and after the OS is loaded run the program. It should remove the problem for you. That particular trojan hides in memory and is very difficult for even my best advice to find!

Afterwards your machine should be clean. I suggest that you get a good Antivirus (free) like Avast. Avast comes with a boot time scan, that many do not come with. I also suggest a good firewall like Comodo.

Let me know how it goes.

    the Error signature is
    AppName: superantispyware.exe AppVer: 4.25.0.1014 ModName: superantispyware.exe
    ModVer: 4.25.0.1014 Offset: 0008a823

Okay then let's try something a little different. Save the download for SuperAntiSpyware on your desktop and then go to this link and save it to your desktop. Do not open anything yet.

Reboot into safe mode, then open and install SuperAntiSpyware. After it is installed run the database update for the definition files for the program. After all is up and installed run the guy!

Hopefully that will fix the problem.

Edit: Try this: Click Start - Run and then type regedit
If it opens just close it, do not make any changes, I just want to see if the trojan is the same guy I just had to get rid of in another machine. Thanks!! Let me know the outcome!

I'm glad that you got it fixed. The other virus that I was describing disabled Windows Task Manager and regedit files. Make sure that you have a nice anti-virus like Avast which is free, and include a nice firewall like COMODO which is free as well. This will help keep your machine free from those types of attacks!
