Don't know what I did but all of my software players on my PC come up with message. I've tried restoring some system files like mciavi.drv with no love. Uninstall/reinstall of players does nothing.

    I'm stuck.
    WinDVD
    VideoLan
    DVDPLAY.exe
    zoom player

BTW - I can play avi, mpg just fine with multiple players.

Now I can't play anything. Something has hijacked all my video. And it seems to affect multiple IE windows as well. I've disabled all suspect start up items via MSCONFIG. But everytime I launch video my system freezes. Sometimes I can do CTRL+ALT+DEL and see <unknown> as a running process. I don't virus and spyware scan and both came up negative. Any advice?
