I have a tv show file that is 640 x 480. It is xvid. I burned it to a DVD and when i play it on my dvd player, the top and bottom of the picture are cut off, which is a problem because the show has hard-subs (embedded subtitles).
If I play a 16:9 movie on my 4:3 TV and the VCR happens to be set for 16:9, then any AVI (converted to DVD format)with burned subs, gets cut off.
