Ok whats up all. I've got a pretty 1337 gaming rig. AMD 3000+ 64bit processor, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, some western digital special edition hard drives, hacked Lite On 411s@811S. Anyway, enough about that. My motherboard is a MSI K8T Neo-FSR. It states for memory supported: 3x DIMM for DDR400*/333/266 Max 2GB
DDR400 maximum 4 banks (2 double-sided) only. My question is thus. What would you recomend the best type and brand of RAM for a hardcore gamer like me. If you could, list the retailers. I'm not looking to save a whole lot of money, just want good, fast, realible RAM. And maybe something that won't break the bank. Thanks in advance for your help!!

I have always used Crucial and never had a problem. They also have a great memory selector on their site that you can specify your motherboard manufacturer and model and they tell you exactly what memory you need.

I think as long as you get from one of the major manufacturers like Praetor and Nephilim mentioned you will do alright. It's the generic no-name manufacturers that I would avoid.

Hee hee! Mushkin are very good to deal with. I ordered directly from their site and when I e-mailed a few questions they replied quickly and were extremely helpful.

After I bought from them, I filled out a questionaire from some site asking about my experience with them and wrote a very nice review. About two weeks later I get a package from Mushkin containing a black long-sleeved t-shrt with bright yellow Mushkin logos on the back and down the sleeves with a note thanking me for the nice review!

    Mushkin's good stuff, XxHaXx :)

Hee hee! Actually when I got the package I immediately thought "Cool! They screwed up and sent my order twice!" The t-shirt was nice even though it wasn't that extra GB :)
