What I like about Shrink is that it's able to quickly read a DVD so that I'm able to edit or choose the chapters I want to rip. Are there any other programs (free or pay) like this? It seems a lot of the programs force you to rip the entire movie first, which can take a bit of time.

(By the way, I'm looking for an alternative because I'm finding Shrink is unable to decrypt some of the newer movies.)

    Thanks for the help.

If your looking for an alternative, then I would say go with CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD. These two programs in unison are reliable for newer DVDs and a big time saver. Me however--alot of the time I still like using shrink for compression. For newer movies however your going to have to first rip the entire movie with somthing like DVDFAB or Ripit4me before you can open the DVD with Shrink. Hope this helps.

I agree. CLoneDVD2 and AnyDVD are the best out there. AnyDVD will pretty much decrypt any movie out... new or old. they can be pretty pricey so try free trials first to see how you like them.
