This is my first mac so bare with me. (I have a dua 1.25 g4) I am also new to dvd ripping. Well i have been searching on this forum for may hours researching and reading tutorials on how to back up dvds and how to burn them. I stumbled upon digital mac's tutorial and followed his process. I used OSEx to copy the dvd (old school arnold movie "Command") which was under 4.7gigs. Now when i try to drag my "dvdvolume" folder into my toast 6.0.3 it wont let me, but when i drag in just the VIDEO_ts folder toast accepts it. Then when i try to burn the dvd it fails trying to encode the first track giveing me a "max os error -50" I was like ok then so i'll try using "dvdbackup" but the same thing happened again. So in a desperate attempt i just tried just copying the dvd using toast copy cd, it burnt the dvd but with macrovision. So how should i go about fixing my problem? try a different burning app? already wasted one dvdr cant afford to waste anymore
If Commando will fit on a single disc then you should just save the Disc Image. Once that is complete, use whichever program you are using to Mount the disc. Then you simply drag it onto toast and burn. Make sure DVD is selected as the media type. I'm using OS 9.2 so I'm afraid I can't help you out with OSX specific enquiries. Good luck
"downgrade" your software. I do hate Toast 6. Nothing works. So I went back to Toast 5 where everything is heaven. So I recommend that.
