Is it possible to find shareware(safe) or reasonalbly inexpensive software? I wish to convert my vinyl, open reel and cassettes to digital. I'm not trying to go studio with bells and whistles, but I would like to specifically address pops, clicks and stylus noise from vinyl and tape hiss, and the ability to do "real time" volume monitoring while recording. Lastly, the ability to configure separate programs although the source(i.e.live recordings} may go from on cut/track to the next without a audible silent spot. Oh and one other thing, software that won't override my defaulted volume and soundeffects. I had that problem with some bundled software and had a heck of a time uninstalling it. I currently have WavePad, but it only "cleans up" on the playback side only. I have the ATI 9800 with Audigy 2. Thank you, ahead of time, for your help.
