On boot up, green little dots appear around the windows logo and start blinking but disappears when I am logged in. However, if I look close and hard enough, I spot ocassional green dots on my desktop wallpaper which I know to be green-dot-free. And if I hover the mouse pointer over texts, I see a cluster of these dots (now colored black) lagging beside the cursor. The onset of these little buggers was magnified when I installed Dungeon Siege II without looking at the system requirements which sadly was over that of what my video adapter could handle. I tried downloading the most recent DirectX update, and that didn't work. I tried updating my video adapter, well, you know how bad wishing for a driver update goes. Adapter type: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 INFO: Chip type: ATI display adapter (0x7145) DAC type: Internal DAC (400MHz) Memory size: 256MB Help will be greatly appreciated.
try this ATI Driver Update BUT It dose sound like dead pixal and there is nothere u can do about that
It could be possible to test the LCD screen to fix a "dead" pixel. http://www.widowpc.com/2005/08/fix_dead_pixels.php
First link is dead. Tried the second link, dots still here hanging around like homeless bums. I forgot to include that since intalling DS2, all my other games have started video glitching. So it may or may not be dead pixels.
Find the latest video card drivers, chipset drivers and DX 9. Install the chipset first, then DX,..then your video drivers. Keep an eye on the temperature of your video card when you play...if it gets too hot, it will show signs on the screen as corrupted images.
