I've checked multiple forums, and hundreds of messages, and still can't seem to find: a) the answer I need b) a downloadable program / guide I have a brand new Mac G5, with Panther, no Toast, and barely enough money left to pay for rent. Is there any DVD freeware (or reasonably priced software) out there that is compatible with OS X, and that I can use my basic Mac burning system on? If there isn't, are there any patches which I can download that will help? And are there any guides that'll be able to tell me what to do? I('ve never burned DVD's before, and all my mates have PC's, so they're no help.
give [hmmmm] a shot for apps i dont like the site but they do have a lot of stuff http://www.dumbasspiracy.org then go to apps and click on mac os yous shoul find somthing there
Beigeman, Your question would be best served in our Mac forum here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/56 kcc76, Isn't it a bit ridiculous for a Junior Member to be recommending downloading apps from a torrent site?
Newbie to newbie-Perhaps you will have already found out by now but there is some freeware: DVDBackup, MactheRipper for decrypting encoded discs. Then there is Dvd2oneX and DVDRemaster (these are not free) for recompressing Gigs. DVDImager (free) will help mount discimage, but so far I have only been able to produce discs that can play on my mac only. Maybe someone can tell me how to burn a DVD-R using Finder or Disc Copy- one that will play on my standalone DVD player. Good Luck.
