    Hey guys,

It would be great to get some answers to the thread I posted earlier today.

I mean, is it not clear or what?

    Thanks in anticipation. Shaun.

What is and is not clear.

It is clear that you did not read the forum rules.
It is clear that you started this new thread instead of what you should have done which is reply to the thread you previously started.

It is not clear why you would think that your question should have been answered in the five hours time that you waited, and why you would think that you should complain about not getting an answer in that short period of time.

    Sorry, I'm obviously mistaken.

I thought the forum was to help & advise newbies like myself.

I also thought I'd posted a quite reasonable question in my earlier thread.

I apologise for not replying to my own question. It just didn't seem the logical thing to do.

I don't see what I said as a verbal attack or my own personal gripe. I have seen forum moderators complain about other people doing the same thing on this forum and on other forums. I would say the same on the forum I operate.

It is only right to wait a reasonable time to get a response to a question. Posting a question and only waiting five hours before complaining is just not right. And starting a new thread for that complaint is not right either.

I would say that a better way would be to wait a reasonable amount of time, like at least 24 hours. Then if there had not been any answers in that time and the information was really needed in a hurry it might be correct to reply to the original question and ask if someone could please help with quicker answer.

It's hard to be patient with the impatient.

Yes veblin, what you said is very true and yes I do agree......

We are all different, and likewise when you start off on a new venture, there is eagerness to get the job done, therefore many people can become a little 'impatient' as the eagerness becomes too much to bear.......Arrrrrrrgggghhhhhh.........gimme some discs.....where's the writer......dam you, why don't you work......I've plugged it in and it's just laughing at me..........stuff this, I'm taking up water polo instead......

Dvd backups are not the easiest things to crack in 2 mins or 5 hours......

Some of us have the luxury of taking to it like a duck to water, and some don't......

I remember my first time.....LOL...the dvd...not the sex...LOL (too long ago).....
I started out with the ripping streams/CCE/TMPGenc encoding/ifoedit and Nero 5......man that was hair loss time until I got a method sorted.....

That is what you and I, and many others are here for........

    Shaun2209 made a small mistake.........we all do from time to time.....I know I have.....LOL

    Have a good evening all......

    Hi everyone,

I must apologise for my earlier impatience.

All I can say in my defence is that I'm quite new to this and very eager to learn the best methods, hopefully with tips & advice from people like your good selves.

I promise to be more patient in future.

However, not wishing to gripe like some people, I must say the reply I got from veblin earlier on was a bit much to say the least. I am a newbie after all. Isn't this what the forum is for?

Thanks to everyone who replied with helpful suggestions. It goes without saying my thanks do not extend to veblin.

    Thanks. Shaun

    Nice one Shaun,

we need more people like you, willing to learn.

You are most warmly welcomed, by me at least.

With that attitude I would be quite happy to make the extra effort to help you out, and there will be quite a few who feel the same.

Got you marked as a "Good Guy", ok.

    Have Fun...
