Well, not necessarily. It all depends on what type of system you are running. I can run the MS Anti-Spyware program, surf the net, download, and encode a movie, and still have really good performance. So, it really depends on how well your pc is maintained, what you are running, and what you are doing at the time.

Im running spyware blaster, spybot, adaware, microsoft anti-spyware and norton internet security and still spyware and adware got on my PC!
