I jst want the basic mp3 file renamer that will put my mp3s into the most common form -- (Artist - Song Title) wormware's mp3 file renamer was very good, but it seems to cost money even though it was free at one point.
No Sicilian can refuse any request on his daughter's wedding day. *Cough* Sorry about that, couldn't resist... >_> Anyway, a good FREE MP3 renamer is: The Godfather. Here's the latest beta: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Tag-Editors/The-GodFather.shtml
don't know of any free ones, but as suggested above, check out Tag&Rename. Its hands down the best out there. I think you can DL a 30 day trial of it.
Not sure which 'side' of things your speaking of- mp3 'names' meaning the actual filename or the ID3 tag? For bulk file renaming, something called 'Rename Master' is a great free app, and for ID3 tags- I hate 'em, never use 'em, and strip 'em out whenever they exist. (lol.) But, any 'decent' tool out there for ID3 tag renaming that's freeware could be found at http://www.snapfiles.com/ Goto the freeware 'side' of the site and rename master is there as well as just about any freeware app in any category of any significance that exists. Good Luck. sc
