C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Wndows applications. Chose "Close" to terminate the application.

When I wan't to open a program on my pc this message pops up. Have you any idea how to solwe this problem? I really want to open my program but this message pops up and the program can't be opened

Go to your Windows\Repair folder -- Locate AUTOEXEC.NT and CONFIG.NT -- Highlight both, Right click and select COPY.

Move to Windows\System32 folder -- find an empty spot -- Right click and select PASTE -- answer yes to write over ....

    You are done !

there's a folder called 'repair' inside your 'windows' folder.
in the 'repair' folder are the files AUTOEXEC.NT and CONFIG.NT

When jeanc said Windows\Repair - the forward slash before repair means repair is a folder as in C:\windows\repair - drice C, folder windows, folder repair

    gud luck

EDIT: did i really say forward slash? (too many darn os on the go)
    I meant backslash \
