hi guys just bought my son a xbox and thought id softmod it ive never done 1 b4 so read all the excellent help topics and here goes (these are from within the evox system settings) xbox version (256) retail 5838.01 kernel v 1.00.5838.01 hardware info 00000640 E1 D5 ok i started by modding lead to usb and pen drive and used action replay software i used 2 files for splinter cell named SID.Splinter.Cell.v2.0.Xbox-Hq.zip SID.Splinter.Cell.v2.0.PAL.Xbox-Hq.zip loaded to usb pen then copied to xbox hd from there loaded splinter cell game and ran linux this took me to evox from where i made relevant backups and then from there i selected install softmod then i installed evox version 3935 rebooted and ran MSdash patch 5960 from within evox ok so i can ftp run backups etc etc now heres my problem when i select live from splintercell original game i get an ERROR 21(if i reboot xbox all is ok again unless i select live again) when i select msdash from within evox i goto the msdash no prob all the dash works fine except for 2 things 1st when i select xbox live it starts up goes to a black screen with a little green dial turning on the bottom screen then after about 5 seconds it returns me to the EVOX DASHBOARD 2nd exactly like above but on the network settings in the ms dash settings this also takes me back to EVOX dashboard doeas any 1 know why this is and if it can be fixed i read about getting baned from live but i not bothered about that this is now an obsession to KNOW and FIX the MENUS to work correctly sorry for long post but i tried to giva all info poss so a nice genius guy can help me out i appreciate your time and any helpl in advance thankyou
lol i hyave the exact same probelm as u when i tried to sign into live i got error code 21..... but when i load ms dash from the menu its fine
does yur live work from ms dash or same as mine aswell? i di try this as well http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/xlive-xboxdash.php but i didnt have no joy as its a very patchy kinda tut.
