Let me explain, I have a 160gb in my Xbox right now, and it's starting to run out of space, and I was wondering if there is a place that sells corrupt harddrives. I looked on ebay, but most were all new/used, and were over my price range. Is there an online store that sells such things? Im looking to upgrade, and I don't wanna fork out like $120 for a new harddrive.
A corrupt HDD will be a broken HDD.. don't waste money on them. You can find shady people selling dodgy drives, but a drive with just corrupt data is a 5 minute job to repair so they don't exist for sale... No reputable seller will sell a drive with bad sectors and they die very quickly.. You need a perfect drive in an xbox.. just 3 or 4 bad sectors cause problems because the OS doesn't have the error correction.. New is all you have to chose from realistically, so you have to bite the bullet and pay.. you get the manufacturers warranty at least. 160gb not enough space? you need to have a serious look at what you are storing and why.. xbox drives can corrupt quite easily (I had a dash go mad last week and trash 200gb of films and music) so they are not a really safe backup system.
