As for the suggestions does it matter for internal or external? like is it more expensive for external than that of internal? But plz feel free to suggest DVD burners you feel are very good for that price range...
Well depends on what are your needs, if you need movility for your burner, I will recommend external, but if you need speed and price go for internal although it does not matter alot, except for your needs, I will recommend you a LiteOn or Sony product, Pioneer and Nec also very good although I think pioneer does not have bitsetting option with suc*s, check at www.newegg.com and read at rewiews and get one that suits your needs taking in account a trusted brand(Samsung and LG are very good too), Also if you want a box instructions and software get a retail package if you only want the drive get OEM drive wich is cheaper, I own the Sony Dru-710 A (around $81 bucks) which is very good and no coaster yets.
Yea I've was looking around in other threads and found the link to Newegg n have been researching for a while there and found one that may work i dont know i was thinking of a sony but heres this one tell me what you think its a BenQ DW1620
actually the lite-on brand you suggested when i ran a comparison on all of them to see which looked better statistic wise and the more included with it this one model of lite-on was much better than the rest so far... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16827106967
Yes this LITE on burner seems to have very good characteristics, and indeed Liteon Is a very good brand, and actually Sony rebrands lite on so this is a brand you can trust, It has very good characteristics and includes DVD+R DL burning and very good burning speed, so I think you should go for it, Remember this OEM drive does not inlclude box or instructions or anything, it looks like it includes software and analog audio cable, so if you want it like this go for it good price good burner, and supports bitsetting too!
