I just updated Any Video Converter. And I also figured out that you need to enter a user and pass to download videos from youtube. I did that as well. Now, it won't log in, saying it is trying to verify my age, (logging into my account...). And of course it fails. What do I need to do next, or what am I doing wrong? I never had any problem with the older version of AVC, (2.0.8), until today, and that is why I upgraded to 2.5.5. (sobbing) Thanks.
I experienced the same problem a few days back while using "Any Video Converter Ver. 2.5.3. When trying to download videos from youtube the program successfully logged into my youtube account then in the "status" bar it would read verify age. . . WTF! I sent a note to "Any Video Converter" and got this response today; "Thank you for your support. Was the youtube file from youtube global site or a country site? So far thereare some problems in converting youtube files which is not from global site.We will fix this problem as soon as possible. Any other problems, please contact us. Regards, Kevin Lee-- Technical Support Team" After reading this message I tried to download one of my own videos from youtube (USA Site) and I got the same "verify age. . ." status. Needless to say my download was unsuccessful. I can tell you that I used the program successfully just 3 days ago to download a video from youtube. Maybe youtube has made a program change to keep us from downloading videos?? I'm going to try to download videos from another url site and see if I get the same problem. I'll let you know. If I get an update message from "Any Video Converter" tech support I will post it here.
s-c47 I recieved this e-mail from "Any VIdeo Converter" tech support this morning; Thank you for your support. We have tested, there are some problems in downloding youtube video. We willfix this problem in next week. Sorry for any inconvenience. Any other problems, please contact us. Regards, Kevin Lee-- Technical Support Team I like the format of "Any Video Converter" so I'll give it a week or so before I search for another video converter.
Thanks, bro. I like AVC also and don't want to lose it. Believe me, I have gotten more than my fair share of use out of it, but still. I'll wait also and if you still don't have a resolution, let me know, and maybe we can swap ideas for future programs.
I don't use Anyvideo, but the two things i use if i want to download youtube vids are: MyTubePlayer and convert them with Magic Video Converter.
There's no need to download plugins, software, etc... to download YouTube videos, just use this website: http://keepvid.com/
Any Video Converter fixed their problem and the program works as advertised. I just downloaded and reinstalled the free version. KP
