    Hi,
    Happy new year.
AnyDVD 5.7.1.1. updated again within hours link still works to get latest release. 5.7.2.1.
    http://static.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD.exe

    5.7.1.1, 2006 01 01 now replaced by

    5.7.2.1, 2006 01 01

    - Happy new year from SlySoft!
    - Important: When installing this version over an existing
installation, you must reboot your machine. Otherwise the changes
made in the AnyDVD device driver will not have any effect!
    - New: Improved the function remove unreferenced VOBUs. This fixes
problems with some titles, e.g. "Unstoppable" R2 (German).
    - New: Error zones on RipGuard/Arccos/PuppetLock protected titles are
now replaced with "valid material". 3rd party tools like DVDDecrypter
will now work better (no more "Pack Header Error" messages).
    - New: Better support of elby CloneDVD2 when copying Arccos or
    RipGuard protected titles without Menus:
Eliminates "hang" on standalone DVD Player and Audio "out of sync"
    problems.

The update is free for all registered customers, of course.
Just install the new version on top of your current version,
regardless which version you have installed:
    http://www.slysoft.com/download.html

Is there any difference between 5.7.1.1.
"Yes. 5.7.1.1 had an additional language file (Portuguese brazil) which was not mentioned in the changelog. But this file was corrupted, so it was removed from 5.7.2.1

Yah, we love Slysoft and their products. Thanks Ireland. The annoying pop-up is always right...LOL! Slysoft is even here with us in the forums after the broohaha with a product called CloneDVD3 (ripoff, 2x more expensive, and no support.)

Happy New Year One and All!

    Cheers...AA

I have been using these types of software for a couple of years now. like DVD Shrink, Decryptor, Xcopy. I have not tried AnyDVD yet. Is it worth purchasing?

IMHO - YES!!!!!! At a minimum, buy AnyDVD, the CSS decrypter. It is always one step ahead of the latest encryption. But, advantageous package pricing means you should just buy CloneDVD and AnyDVD as a package. With your license you receive upgrades for life.

The Clone/AnyDVD developers are fantastic people. They also participate in our forums here. When the horrible, pirated CloneDVD3 appeared at triple the price last year (with all kinds of problems and no support from China), the developers answered all of my questions in a nanosecond. They knew their internationally licensed product names, CloneDVD and CloneCD, had been hi-jacked, and with true grace said nothing about it. Why? So as not to give any attention to the hijackers. If you're interested, you can read more about the hijacking in this thread. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/201330

X-copy left everyone hanging for months while they were being hunted to extinction by the US movie industry. Then they implemented a convoluted re-installation paradigm requiring a phone call that effectively killed all US licences. They refused to support US owners who had purchased legitimate licenses (I know first hand). With no phone support there was no way to re-install a legitimate license. They are now back and running in Belize with screaming headlines that they are not the former US product and, BTW, are not supporting any older US licenses, despite the intial purchase guarantee of 'lifetime' support.

Their headlines notwithstanding, they fool no one. Because of their 'lapse' in the definition of lifetime support (theirs or mine?) they can rot in Belize. They left hundreds of thousands of legitimate license holders with very expensive coasters. I vote with my wallet and vote for the CloneDVD family of products.

DVD Shrink has not been updated for more than a year. Its developer is now busy at Nero, and it shows in the improvements in new Nero release. This means that DVD Shrink has fallen behind in unlocking encryption. I think the same goes for DVD Decrypter.

I own and use them all. Some people swear by DVD Fab or 1-Click DVD, but I've never been let down by AnyDVD and Clone DVD. These developers are in it for the long haul and their product is without peer. It is some of the best money I've ever spent on software and am glad to support them by paying for my license. If you decide to buy AnyDVD, only by directly from http://www.slysoft.com or http://www.elby.ch.

    Cheers....AA

Hi iatik... I'm hoping you can help me. I've always used DVD XCopy Xpress, until last week when I could no longer use it on my PC. I'm completely unfamiliar with any other DVD copy program, but have done a litte reading on the boards over the past two days and ended up with a program called DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. Having come from DVD XCopy Xpress, a one click program, the idea of having to use two differnt programs threw me at first, but I think I've gotten the idea of it now, and have actually been successful at making several DVD's.

In reading the boards, as well as your last posting, I'm getting the idea that AnyDVD is a better product so I downloaded the evaluation copy and installed it. Here comes the kicker... I can't figure out how to use the darn thing. I've just spent 20 minutes searching the web for instructions, but no luck. In reading your post I get the idea that in order to use it I would be well advised to use another program in conjunction with AnyDVD called CloneDVD. I apologize up front for asking what I'm sure many will think is a "stupid question", but could you please give me a brief overview on how in the heck I go about using the two progams in order to copy a DVD? I haven't purchased either program yet, and haven't downloaded CloneDVD...

    Thank you very much,
    Chuck :)

anydvd runs in the back ground to break copy protection. this means u can copy the dvd with many apps but clone works the best. if u dont have clone u will need an app that compresses like shrink, 1 click dvd, or nero recode, unless u r using dl media then u can make an exact copy with almost any software in iso mode i would recomend dvddecrypter in iso mode to do dl.

Thank you Gamename.... AnyDVD appears to be running, as I have an icon in my system tray. After inserting a DVD, nothing seems to happen. Are you saying that at this point I should then run the other program CloneDVD? If so, do I just start CloneDVD, or do I have to do something else with AnyDVD? Does the CloneDVD copy the movie to the blank DVD?

Hi Chuck and welcome to AD!

The answer to both of your questions is yes. Just open CloneDVD and choose how you want to copy the movie (main movie or entire disc). Clone will automatically compress the movie to fit on a blank disc. You don't have to do anything with AnyDVD - just make sure it's running in the background. Good luck and happy burning!

    @chuckdunn

You should notice that the fox head icon will flash pale and then go back to deep read after the disc has been put in the drive. This will normally take up to 30 seconds to happen. Then open CloneDVD and proceed to do your backup.

    Cheers.
