PLEASE REBOOT AFTER THE INSTALL,JAMES FOR GOT TO ENTER THAT IN THE PROGRAM..

    quote
I have made an AnyDVD beta release. Everybody who has problems (and those who don't as well) can try it out:

    DOWNLOAD
    http://sandbox.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD6089.exe

The "Aggressive I/O Mode" is now very different from what it has been before, and should hopefully satisfy everybody. It should behave like 6.0.8.2 with the additional features of 6.0.8.5/ 6.0.8.8 (New Dell computers / SATA / RAID users can use 1-click & Co., full 64-bit support, better Vista support, ...)
(Alan, this should answer the question why the I/O code was changed in the first place )

It would be very good to know, if all applications requiring "Aggressive I/O" work fine and see decrypted discs (InterVideo DVDCopy, 1-click DVD copy... someone still using 321-Studios DVDXCopy?)

    Here is the complete changelog:

    6.0.8.9 2006 11 28
    - New: Runs under VirtualPC on PowerPC MACs
    - Change: "Aggressive I/O Mode" is less "aggressive", hopefully fixes problems
    some users are having
    - Change: Clicking "Default" no longer resets "Aggressive I/O Mode" setting
    - Fix: DEP error on Windows Vista

Version 6.0.8.8 is working just fine for me. Just backed up Superman Returns & See No Evil , very easily I might add.
Nothing special on Superman Returns, but See No Evil was loaded with encryptions! Still, AnyDVD + CloneDVD 2 took care of these back-ups with the usual ease.
Slysoft,Thank You for writing such good software!

This movie only has CSS protection. try cleaning the dvd and check for scratches. If that dont work then you have might have a defective disc.

You can use VSO Inspector to check the condition of the original disc.

    @ Ireland..

By the way im glad to see you still around here. nice to have people who know what there doing/talking about, to help out Guys like myself.

i tired that link again and it worked great. i was at work lastnight when i tried it and they have stuff like that blocked...I downloaded 6.0.8.9, and read the aggresive I/O. seems to me thats only for those who use cretain programs that conflict with anydvd.
with it being a beta version id say in a week or so there will be another update to include these fixes along with any other new stuff SLYSOFT puts out for us.....

Look I don't deal with people that are so high on themselves, if my comments offend members that means they are in that circle but as far as me being alienated for speaking my mind about snobish comments when you ask a question "I really don't care".
People come here for help that's what it was made for but for the ones with those big ego's don't reply better yet you can type sarcastic all they want it's a big world with alot of small minded people in it just remember this is not the only site and there is always someone smarter than them......Good day
By the way are you speaking for them or yourself?

Ireland again thanks for the help I wish more people are helpful like yourself....

If this is some new beta version, then why do I get an error message about my free trial being over? I got to try that older version twice before my trial was over and I havent a clue if it is even any good. Now I thought I would try it out and the beta version also gives me that message about my trial being over!!!! Can I not try it out if I have a previous version that had an expired trial?

@bhunter21.......at any version..... if your trial period (21 days) are up then no matter what version you download it will show that it's expired! You must buy the program if you want to use it. The new versions do what the older versions do, except it's updated! Soooo you were giving a grace period to use it...... now it's over..... buy or don't use! that's your decision.
