I like making exact duplicates of my DVD purchases and placing them on one DVD. For my liking, Anydvd + CloneDVD2 always does a great job, and for my tastes, can not really see much difference using 50 percent compression.

Which brings me to the point of my thread. I like the idea of Anydvd's feature to "Jump dirctly to the title menu" of the backups I make, thereby skipping the junk and commercials placed on my purchases. Would be great, if it worked like it is suppose to. More times than not, after using that feature, there will be SOME menu options that just do not go anywhere.

For instance, after making an exact backup of the entire Interpreter DVD (using the jump to option on Anydvd) I was again depressed to find that going into the special features menu option, that NONE of those links went any where. Select any one of them, and the DVD just stops playing. This happens on many backups.

I use standard default settings on CloneDVD, do not uncheck any titles.....I mean, I use the "Clone DVD" option and start the backup and as I said, over 60% of the time, some menu option just will not work. Its either put up with commercials, or faulty backups, and the faulty backups turn me off worse than having to skip over the commercials and Notices.

    Anyone else seen this problem?

I only use this feature when I am watching a commercial disc on my laptop. If I am making a backup, I don't select this feature, I reauthor instead...

Yeah, don't use that feature. You can use VobBlanker to get rid of the FBI Warnings and Previews, but it will take a few seconds for your DVD to load when you insert it in your player.

don't do anything with anydvd, i use the same bundle that you do. restore original settings to anydvd and in clonedvd deselect the titles that you want. as a matter of fact i did that dvd as well and had no problems. inserted the cd and it went right to the main menu page.

I believe that the 'Navigation' options in AnyDVD are only intended for playback of a DVD on your PC with AnyDVD activated. CloneDVD will control how the menus work on the copied DVDs.
