http://cgi.ebay.com/Latest-full-Reg...yZ109007QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem is this some kind of scam ? this sounds to good to be true. or is this guy just selling pirated software ?
i seen the title and came to say SPAMMER, but then i read it and found out that you were asking a question. my answer is, sounds weird, but i do remember buying a phone cover from this guy, and yes i did get it !!thecraigc!!
cool, it's a UK auction. however i'm not convinced it's for real as how would he have so many copies of this WITH legitimate keys. hmmmm....
im going to buy this. ill post my results. hell the worst that could happen is im out 3 bucks (besides e-bay wouldent let you buy pirated software righ ?)
you're right about the few quid (or dollars thing) i'm just wary of why someone would sell them so cheap. Saying that, i can't order AnyDVD from slysoft as i haven't Visa or Mastercard so this might be just the ticket hang on, trouble is, if these aren't legit, you wouldn't be able to use these to upgrade to newer updates in future...
well after less than 45 min after useing the buy now feature. i got an e-mail with an attachment from this guy. the software said it was version 5.4.4.1 after i installed it i used the cd key that was atached. once the application was launched it updated its self to version 5.5.1.1 this just seams to good to be true. but the product worked
hey cheers for the update. will have to check the auction to see how to pay as it sounds like it's paypal which i don't have ah well sounds like this might be worth doing after all
@Orgazmo: There is all kinds of pirated software being sold on e-bay. E-bay doesn't know, unless someone turns the auctioning person, in. Just ask Roxio and Nero reps. They have turned a slug in, already, since their new versions came out.
thank you for the insight. now that i realize that the selling of pirated software is possible on ebay, i am going to puchase this product from slysoft, i am not a pirate nor do i aprove the conduct of these guys. please suport the groups that bring great software like anyDVD to users like us.
i would report the e-bay add TO slysoft and see what they have to say about it ,its my understanding THAT anydvd is ONLY legit getting it directly from there website he may have HACKED keycodes that work ,info. slysoft would def. want
i'd like to do an honest poll count to see how many members on this site have a bought copy of anydvd, instead of downloadind it,and hacking it with the keygen ??? me.....i dont use it....i dont copy anything...at all...never wow,did you see that!!!!!!!
Well just because it's cheap doesn't mean that it's pirated, though a $3 'buy-it-now' for a serial to a program that normally cost $40 sure does seem a little fishy. I have previously won a retail box (really, retail) of the latest Nero for $20 but that was a bidding auction and when it arrived at my door it sure looked like the retail box and everything. So sometimes cheap just happens to be an excellent bargain.... But for a serial to be emailed to ya (even if it also included the downloaded setup files) seems suspicious anyways... I guess no real harm in reporting him to Slysoft. Either he's legit and nothing comes of it or he's not and well...
while i try to do what is right, i am no snitch.. i belive that what goes around comes around. something is fishy about this guy selling this stuff so cheap. but im not going to rat him out.
aabbccdd: you are correct, slysoft has something about ebay serials in the FAQ (of course they are addressing serials bought of eBay that end up not working.. but same diff really) the FAQ says get it direct from them. Orgazmo: Whatever you feel you need to do (or not do) is ultimately your decision and choice. I too stay away from any software that is not legit. Of course the company's (no matter what that company is!)argument goes that part of the reason the software/shoes/whatever product costs what it does is due to the cost of people's stealing having to be reflected in the price and absorbed ultimately by the honest and paying customer. But that's an argument that doesn't always 'win' Either way from my review of the demo (yeah I haven't bought it yet, really haven't had a personal need to but love to review demos lol) it's an excellent program and well worth the $39. Just remember to look here on AD and you can get $10 off when you purchase it. It's even more worth it at $29!
All the software and games I currently use are bought and paid for. I'm no angel as I've used pirated software in the past but they're a pain to deal with and it never set well with me. If a piece of software proves valuable and worth using then buy it. The software companies can't continue their great work without the revenue they deserve for their work. I'm willing to bet that part of the current costs of software is to make up for the revenue lost to freeloaders. If the software makers actually got their money for almost every copy of their software in use I bet the price would be a few bucks less! Too many folks these days complain that the software they want costs too much and use that as a lame justification for pirating it. The funny thing is those same folks seem to have the money for a PC, internet fees, blank media, DVD burners and so on and so forth. There's a massive amount of time, effort and man hours that goes into a piece of software so $40 or whatever for CloneDVD or AnyDVD is a smoking deal in my eyes. There's absolutely no legitimate excuse for pirating software.
Nephilim you are so correct its worth twice the price to me as much as i use it and with the lifetime updates come on guys 39 bucks i email the e-bay link to slysoft ,i will let you know what there respones is update guys the add has been removed from e-bay LOL !!!!
You all complain about pirated software, but the main reason for using this piece of software is to "Pirate" your own copies of DVD movies, Playstation games, etc... You are all LAME!!!!!!!!! i don't use ANYDVD, but if you're gonna complain about others, you better complain about yourself.
there are legit reasons to own anyDVD jackass ! i personally dont "pirate" dvds. i use any dvd for security reasons, the last thing i want is $ony to install a virus on my computer. i heard that anyDVD will keep it away. if you cant contribute to a mature discussion go back to the kiddie table.
