I don't understand how slysoft makes money. Anydvd is updated a couple times a month at least. I install the trial and before you know it there is an update. Always before the trial is up. I uninstall anydvd, run a registry cleaner, and then install the newer version. Voila! 3 weeks trial all over again.

I bought AnyDVD two months ago right before they released AnyDVD HD. Does that mean I can use and download AnyDVD HD or will it only give me a free trial option.

If its only a trial does that mean AnyDVD HD is $30 additionally to the price of AnyDVD? or did I just miss out on getting 2 for the same price.

@ireland.......you continue to amaze me with all your valuable advise! I just installed the ERUNT program to backup and clean up my registry! This is a valuable program and it cleaned up and condensed my registry and now my computer reboot and start up is even faster than when I first set up my computer! It's amazing! Thank you sooooo much for this valuable program! I love it and I have it set to work automatically every time I start Windows up! Amazing program..... and it's FREEEEEEE!!!!!! WOW! THANKS AGAIN! I keep learning things here in AfterDawn with great members as yourself, Ireland..... thank you!

is it a complicated process to get the $8 deal or do I just download anydvd HD and it will prompt me to pay an additional $8. I guess theres really no point in upgrading yet since theres no way to rip and play to your hard drive or burn to regular DVDs.

I do not understand how they can make money either (and they wouldn't) if every one just does what you are doing and never purchases the software.

I would like to think the number of people willing to pay them for such an outstanding program outnumber the people who are so cheap they won't even spend money to support a program that benefits them greatly.

yeah, cheating a company such as Slysoft out of a few quid/dollars is just low. Some people just don't realise when they have a good thing. Imagine if there were no companies such as them and we couldn't back up our own DVD's.
