hello, I have a similar problem with the "Drive E: is disabled!" but when I put in the DVD (Seven Swords) it doesn't show up anything in my E: drive even when I exit the AnyDVD program, but when I turn on the AnyDVD i get the "Drive E: is disabled!" And yet the DVD could play on my Cyberhome Standalone DVD Player without any problem....any suggestions out there? Thank in advance
well after trying 2 update the AnyDVD to v6.0.1.1 & it still doesn't work...When i put the DVD, Seven Swords, into my Pioneer DVD Burner it doesn't show up anything under My Computers...please help
You might need to reboot the computer if you just installed or updated the program. I had a problem like that and rebooting finished the installation and cleared up the problem.
Hey folks, is AnyDVD just run on the background. Coz i am not able to do anything, or is that whats AnyDVD meant to do?!? A promt screen comes and now it reads my drivers, and just shows what on the dvd? What do you need to do to move forward or something happen'in with ANyDVD???
dakrish AnyDVD works in the background to automatically remove the copy protection of a DVD movie as soon as it's inserted into the drive, allowing you then to backup the movie using a DVD backup tool such as CloneDVD and CloneDVD mobile. You can also remove the RPC region code, thereby making the movie region free and viewable on any DVD player and with any DVD player software. AnyDVD is capable of removing unwanted movie features, including subtitles and prohibition messages such as copyright and FBI warnings. It also allows you to launch an external application whenever you insert or remove a disc, or prevent 'PC-friendly' software from automatically launching when you insert a video DVD. Decryption is not all that AnyDVD offers. You can control the drive speed of your DVD drive, allowing you to reduce the noise level when watching movies on your PC. You can even adjust the display frequency of your monitor for both NTSC and PAL displays. But AnyDVD doesn't just stop at DVDs. It also decrypts protected audio CDs to allow you to copy them. Features * Works automatically in the background * Removes encryption (CSS) and region code (RPC) from DVDs * Removes analogue copy protection (Macrovision) * Removes features such as forced subtitles and warnings * Decrypts without the need to save the data onto your hard-disk * Decrypts 'on the fly' * Prevents automatic launching of 'PC-friendly' software on video DVDs * Allows adjustment of your monitor refresh rate for both NTSC and PAL monitors * Allows execution of external programs on disc insertion and removal * Allows speed control of your DVD drives * Compatible with all DVD media * Works with all DVD-drives, regardless of region code * Works with all DVD copying, such as CloneDVD, and all DVD player software * Works transparently for the operating system: DVDs can be shared over the network and copied with the command prompt or with Windows Explorer, etc. * Proven to be stable and fast and does not require an ASPI driver * Features AnyCDDA: play, copy and rip protected audio CDs NOW YE NEED A PROGRAM TO RIP THE MOVIE CLONE DVD. http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html

Device drivers known to cause instability in Windows XP Service Pack 2 View products that this article applies to. Article ID : 883775 Last Review : November 10, 2004 Revision : 4.0 INTRODUCTION Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 and Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (SP2) include the Driver Protection feature. This feature helps protect operating system stability by preventing the operating system from loading drivers that are known to cause stability problems. Driver Protection is built upon application compatibility technology that is present in Windows XP. Driver Protection is active at all times. The feature is available during operating system upgrades from prior versions of Windows and at runtime after the operating system is installed. Driver Protection is not intended to be disabled by end users. Drivers that are known to cause stability problems are listed in the Driver Protection List database that is included with Windows XP. Driver Protection checks this database to determine whether to load a driver in Windows XP. MORE INFORMATION The following device drivers are known to cause instability in Windows XP SP2 and have been added to the Windows XP Driver Protection List: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=883775 For more information about the Driver Protection feature in Windows XP and to view existing drivers on the Driver Protection list, visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/winlogo/drvsign/drv_protect.mspx
I had the exact same problem, but it occured after I installed another program. This program changed a registry setting and that needed to be reversed before ANYDVD would recognize the drives again. Check these two registry settings and make sure they both say: "ANYDVD" (without the quotes). Go into REGEDIT to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} and check the values of LowerFilters and UpperFilters. They should BOTH have the value ANYDVD in them.
Hmm, sounds like someone has bought a product, without actually reading on the website what it does! Sounds a bit daft to me. I do hope that it is a legit copy, not a pirated one...
hi Pulsar..... no this happened to me, too, a long time ago.... I just reinstalled the latest version and it worked fine. What happened I installed other programs which messed up my registry and then I had this problem, too. Just do a reinstall and reboot! Problem fixed.
Yep, I noticed it was an out of date version being used. Just that we see lots of problems with non-legit versions (quite rightly too!). Still not sure why someone would buy software & not do any reading up on it. Very strange, smacked of a pirated copy, esp without the knowledge of what AnyDvd did!
