As the title says anydvd has now been updated AnyDVD History 6.0.4.5, 2006 08 01 - New: Added preliminary support for the FluxDVD protection to the option to remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors" To copy DVDs downloaded from CinemaNow, you need to use CloneCD - New: Added support for new versions of the Sony Arccos protection to the option to remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors" - Some minor fixes and improvements - Updated languages http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html Edit: added link
I noticed on the full screen discs (like Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 5 and a French movie I picked up) if you enable the subtitle transparency, depending on the level, the screen will turn white when the subtitles appear. But on other discs, like V For Vendetta, the subtitle transparency works great. I love it, actually. Just a heads up to some people (to avoid wasted discs) *Edit* This was on the initial release of the version that debuted with this feature. Maybe they fixed that already?
I had problems with the new version 6.0.4.5. While installing I recieved error messages, so the install didn't work. Had to uninstall anydvd and do a clean install of the new version.
@sarahraek you might have recieved that error while updating with anydvd currently running, you have to make sure that it isn't running or clone(if that is what you are using)
does anyone have 6.0.4.2 so I can download it? the reson is because I upgraded my Anydvd to the latest version and keep getting error messages so I want to revert back to .4.2
I take back what I said. For "Dial 'M' For Murder," a full screen only DVD, I didn't have the aforementioned problems with the subtitle transparency. I guess we just have to check what it looks like before we rip it (if you have AnyDVD running, and you play the DVD on your comp, you'll see what the subtitle transparency looks like).
I just downloaded the lastest version 6.0.4.5 After I restarted computer, I got a message saying that my TRIAL PERIOD HAS EXPIRED. What's up w/ that ? I payed for it over a year ago & never have gotten that message before. What do I do ? or who do I contact ? Should I uninstall it & reinstall the version I have on my disc ?
Make sure you did not give your key away or have your key installed to more than one computer that is online. If you do when AnyDVD sends out an update and you or that someone using another online computer with your key replies to the update prompt, Slysoft will see this and cancel out your key.
I had the same problem with the trail period has ended deal. Re-installing it will not work. I must have done it 6 times. Anyone have a solution to the problem? If not I guess we'll have to go to slysoft support or try an earlier version.
N2DVD I only have it installed on 1 PC. I have NOT given out my KEY either. Maybe I'll also contact SlySoft, looks like Mesapache is having the same problem. Let me know what you hear from SlySoft..........
just info quote KEY will not "import" Look guys, and in case no one has noticed, which apperantly alot of you haven't, SP2 included a new security feature thats stop's application or registry entries from being merged and alot of developers haven't update their readme's, it's no secret and a pretty easy fix, if your running service pack 2 you'll need to right click on the key you receive from slysoft or element 5 and then goto properties look at the bottom you'll see a button to "unblock" the file, this will remove the problem of getting the key to properly merge. Either by double clicking and mergeing or right click and merge. If your running service pack 2 you will have to do this to rar, zip, reg, bat or any other file XP SP2 deems is a threat. I don't have that UNBLOCK tab when I got to properties ( general) I did change the name thought to.....Key.AnyDVD
I have a desktop and a notebook with AnyDVD installed on both. The key that Slysoft emailed me, I downloaded on both machines and have them properly installed and functioning. I also have service pack 2. Just contact slysoft.
"Make sure you did not give your key away or have your key installed to more than one computer that is online. If you do when AnyDVD sends out an update and you or that someone using another online computer with your key replies to the update prompt, Slysoft will see this and cancel out your key." Do you mean I can not use the programe on more then one PC in my home? I have it currently instald on all three of my PC's, and have never seen that messege.
When downloading the lastest version , it says it needs to reboot PC. I thought SlySoft removed that feature a few versions ago ? Where your PC didn't need to reboot for it to work ?
Slysoft's anydvd will only ask for a reboot when it is necessary, they have not disabled the option completely. Basically you only need to reboot when it needs to.
I have Windows XP SP2 with ALL Critical Updates. I have never had any problems with my "key". Not with AnyDVD or CloneDVD2, both of these I purchased from Slysoft. I save my keys on CD-ROM and Floppy in a safe place. I only need them if I re-format though. If one legitimatlly bought the "key" from Slysoft and registers it right, I can not see why there would be an issue. If there is, I would definitely email Slysoft. They have great tech support & they [bold] do reply[/bold].
