Do you guys know how eBay works? I want to sell some of my things, but I don't get all these fees that eBay is charging me. I understand the initial fee, but what is final fee? What is invoice fee? It says that if you have more than 1$ balance they will charge you or something. If I want to sell an item on eBay just once, is it worth doing?
There will only be a couple of fees..... 1)The fee to insert your ebay ad, you can make a pretty nice looking ad for about $1.30 that will run for 7 days. If your item sells your total fees will be the $1.30 ad fee + the ebay percentage fee (lets say your item sells for $10.00..... the percentage fee might come out to lets say $0.75 to a $1.00....So your final fee would be $1.30 + $1.00 = $2.30 If your item doesn't sell your final fee will be your $1.30 ad fee! Remember the higher your starting price for your item, will equal a hihger ebay ad fee and if you sell your item a higher percentage fee! P.S. Before you try to sell your item try to find it on ebay first, that way you can get a idea of what other people are trying to purchase your item for, if you can't sell it for a starting price of $3.00 or more its not worth selling!
Man all these commission fees. People are not gonna make much with so many charges...Paypal charges too which sux...
it evens out with all the fees. it's good if you want to sell your stuff. it takes time to list your items too. I sold all my video games individually. it's alright.
I'm thinking about setting an account with eBay and sell some of my stuff, but I wasn't sure of how many fees eBay's going to charge and how it works. So far this is what I see in this thread: A) $1.30 flat fee for an item/ad that runs in 7 days B) and another percentage fee when the item is sold (depends on how much it cost) C) So how much does Paypal charge? D) if the item did not get sold by 7 days, eBay automatically charge $1.30 right?
C)If you want to receive funds from others, Paypal charges .30 (thirty cents) plus 2.9% on each transaction 0-$3000. They'll take the insertion fee if your item doesn't sell. They'll also take the insertion fee if somebody wins the item and doesn't pay - bummer.
