Hi, Can anyone help me with this? Each time I start up my computer the mouse doesn't move and the bar at the bottom doesn't function, I cant even click on the start button. It says srv #001 CLED Error The only way to get the mouse working is if I press ctrl+alt+del Anyone had this problem before, How do I fix it? Thanks
Try rebooting into safe mode. Check Device Manager for driver conflicts. What were you doing when you first noticed the issue? Have you made any recent changes to the system, such as, adding software or hardware?
I know how to reboot in safe mode but do not know how to see the conflicting drivers list. I was just using the pc for normal things, as far as I can remember it just happened when I switched it on, sometimes when i press the restart button it works again. Ive recently installed cubase sx3 and ccleaner. Thanks
Did you notice the problem before installing the two programs you mentioned? A Google search provides no information about the error. There are several other folks with the same problem. Ok, let's take a look at Device Manager to see if there are any driver conflicts. Follow this path: Start>R/Click, My Computer>Manage>Device Manager. Look for Red X's, or Yellow exclamation marks. If nothing is found, go to the next step which is to perform a virus scan using HijackThis. Download HijackThis. http://www.download.com/3000-8022_4-10781312.html Reboot into safe mode. Open HijackThis. Click, Do a system scan and save a logfile. Copy and paste the logfile from Notepad to here for review.
I didnt notice anything and there are apparently no driver conflicts, here is the log : Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 3:46:24 PM, on 1/8/2008 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Boot mode: Safe mode Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.google.co.uk/ R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Connection Wizard,ShellNext = http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ O2 - BHO: Adobe PDF Reader Link Helper - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX\AcroIEHelper.dll O2 - BHO: SSVHelper Class - {761497BB-D6F0-462C-B6EB-D4DAF1D92D43} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\ssv.dll O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file) O2 - BHO: FlashFXP Helper for Internet Explorer - {E5A1691B-D188-4419-AD02-90002030B8EE} - C:\PROGRA~1\FlashFXP\IEFlash.dll O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [nwiz] nwiz.exe /install O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ccApp] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [vptray] C:\PROGRA~1\SYMANT~1\VPTray.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MAAgent] C:\Program Files\MarkAny\ContentSafer\MAAgent.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RemoteControl] "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\PDVDServ.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Adobe Reader Speed Launcher] "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\Reader_sl.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SoundMan] SOUNDMAN.EXE O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [snpstd3] C:\WINDOWS\vsnpstd3.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [H2O] C:\Program Files\SyncroSoft\Pos\H2O\cledx.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NvCplDaemon] RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\jusched.exe" O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MsnMsgr] "C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\MsnMsgr.Exe" /background O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ctfmon.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Red Swoosh] C:\Program Files\RSSoft\RedSwoosh.exe /S O4 - Global Startup: NETGEAR WG111T Smart Wizard.lnk = ? Log is clean, no viruses! Unnecessary (deactivated) entry that can be fixed. O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file) MSN Messenger 6, out dated and a security threat. If you use this, should be updated to 8.1 version. Make sure your using the newest version of Firefox. There are security issues there as well. You should update IE6 to IE7, the old version has poor security. What version of Symantec Anti-Virus are you using? Does it have an Anti-Spyware program? What Firewall are you using? You did not address my earlier question. Did you notice the problem before installing the two programs you mentioned? Now that we know there are no infections, we can try a System Restore. Do you know how to use System Restore?
I think it may be related to the cubase. I found this question and answer at Yahoo answers where apparently both had this problem and cubase and the solution apparently worked. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070724074827AATnSRp Hope it solves your issue.
I have had similar problems like this before on 2 systems. I would have to keep unplugging and plugging the mouse in to keep them working. At boot the mouse would not work until I did the re-plug thing. Here is what I did. On one system the USB port went bad. Had to add a seperate USB card. On the other system the USB cable itself became damaged somehow. I spliced in a new cord and it fixed it. I have found a few things on your error. They seem to happen when a program or USB hardware is installed or removed. A bunch mention a program called cuebase. With that said. What is the last thing you installed or removed when the error began? Hardware or software. If hardware is it USB? No help at microsoft web pages (As usual) This error is the reason you cant click on start. All of them mention that as a symptom. I will wait for your reply and go from there. -Del
I guess I didnt read good enough. I just saw where you did instal cuebase. Here is a post from another forum that seems to have fixed it for others: (not my post) I found the answer on the following forum: http://forum.opusforum.org/forum/post-205067.html The answer is in German for those who doesn't understand that: When you have the SERV #001 CLED error start task manager (Ctrl-Shift-Esc keys) this will unlock th e mouse pointer and you can clik the error away. Still your taskbar is locked. Open in task manager a new task put in the entry line msconfig. You'll get a dialog screen look in the tab called start up for double entries. I installed Cubase and found this fill twice TINTSETUP, switch one off (unmark) and restarted. If all went well CLED error is gone. It worked for me, hopefully for you aswell. Please all credit to"Dirty Cutmaster" at the above mentioned site. (end not my post) Hope this helps you out. -Del
Jeffw224, thanks for searching and finding a fix! My search missed this. Mr. Del, must of not read the entire thread and missed your entry which provided the fix in english. Anyway, guess this fixes your issue aaargghh. Take care...
aaargghh, edit your sig to conform to forum specs ASAP. yours is 240x136 & 5 lines of text. 4. If you want to use both text and image in your signature the image should not be more than 500 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall, and you can use up to three lines of text.
Hi, I have the same CLED ERROR thing coming up with the task bar locked and i have had all my favorites disapear off my browser today as well. i do have Cubase sx3(which seems to be the problem) i have checked that msconfig thing for them Tintsetup files and i aint got any of them at all. any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks
