Top prize is 1 Mil. The task will be to improve the netflix rating-recomends system. It is better than the competition right now but is flawed enough I do not use it any more. I do not expect to win. I am really more interested in improving the system. Since you must submit code not ideas, having a programmer is crutial. I can readily fill that bill. Not to brag, but I figure I will be in the top 10% for skills needed. I have been in the business for 25 years and not over the hill just yet. I am more interested in smart persons with good ideas. I will be happy to add other programmers on the team. I would like to come up with a dream team. This is the place to find the right persons. If you are interested state what you think is wrong with the system in use now. Do not give away all your ideas but enough to see if you are headed my way. Also state if you are just venting or want to enter the contest. I would like to see both. I know this thread has nothing to do with shrink but this forum does have videofiles with superior intellect. This forum holds the promise of a dream team. We will ALL reap the benifits of a competent system. The system I will propose will be able to predict much better if you will like a movie sight unseen. I find the competition intreaging. We will essentially 'raise the bar'. Blockbuster will have to follow suit!
Cinch, I did state my puroses for posting this here and not somehwere else. I liken this to blank media or new utilities that are not shrink. I will be happy to move this to a more appropriate place.

Netflix sucks. Twice my acount was closed a few weeks before the new billing date. I called them up and told them that my acount was closed and I didnt close it. They said they do not close acounts themselves that the member is the 1 that closses the acount. Which I did not close it. So I did not get my 2 weeks back when my acount was closed early(BY NETFLIX) Im not a moron and have used blockbuster plus netflix and know how it works. Some how they cancled my acount twice with out me authorizing it and have lost 3 to 4 weeks of service due to when you cancel the acount(Which I didnt) you lose the remander of your subscription for that month. I will never go back to netflix again.
