anyone know how to tranfer from dvd camcorder to pc?

    Hi.I have a sony dvd-200 camcorder. For some reason I am having difficulties transferrring movie clips directly from my camcorder to my pc. The only choice I have is to finalize the movie and then I can play it on my tv. I want to transfer the clip so I can convert it to post on youtube. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

    So what happens if you finalize it, why are you unable to copy it to your Hard Disc?

    If I finalize the dvd I can no longer record on it. I still have alot of space left on it and didn't want to waste a good dvd. I have to say though, the software that came with the sony dvd camcorder is horrible. I still don't understand it and I have had it for at least 3 years now. I think it's called imagemixer. I also think sony records to the dvd in a different format.
